Like a Rainbow Charizard, these shows are rare and thrilling! Each time The Prototype is up on the calendar, it holds something exciting and unique that hasn't been seen at TIC before now.
Every show contains two 25-minute comedy acts that have been independently produced and ready to be sampled by a hungry audience.

LIVE IMPROV COVERAGE! Broadcast from Melbourne’s home of Chicago style, long form improv. Watch as your favourite improvisers give play-by-play commentary, analysis and stats for a team taking to the TIC pitch.

Welcome to Idiot Box, a serialised genre improv show bringing your favourite TV shows to life on stage.
Our debut programming is an episode of everyone‘s favourite cop show “All Crimes Are Busted” as our two mismatched detectives attempt to solve the latest case.
Will they crack the case? Will the inevitable tension be resolved? Who will survive?

Choose Your Own Adventure
An improv show, and also a video game… it’s an improvised video game! Each show is a completely improvised, never-before-seen game in which the audience plays as a character created by them. You can either play the game or just relax and watch the chaos unfold.
How is it done? Every so often, there will be a decision point where we’ll offer you a choice of two options, A or B. Choose what happens throughout your journey by calling out A or B at the decision points, control your character with special “buttons” at any time during the show, and guide your character to victory (or lose spectacularly)! What will happen? You decide! Choose your own adventure!
The Deconstruction
The Deconstruction is Improv with heart. You'll laugh, you'll feel, you'll think. Harold's sensitive sibling will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride.
