It can be easy to forget when you're studying improv that, in the end, we are theatre makers.

Yet, so many improvisers don’t come to improv from a theatre background. This can be a challenging hurdle for those who want to take the next step in their work. This workshop focusses on some of the fundamental skills required to be an authentic and entertaining performer.

Using improv, Tiana will guide you through some essential stage craft elements, get you feeling comfortable in your own skin, and help you utilise what you already have within you to become a better actor on stage.

Please note: Advance bookings required. Drop-in classes must reach minimum participants 7 days out from class date or risk cancellation.

About the instructor(s)

While we don’t anticipate having to change the instructor after registrations open, please be aware that this may happen from time to time.

Big thumb tianaweb

Tiana has been working with the Improv Conspiracy since 2015. She is a graduate of the iO Summer Intensive in Chicago and has studied at Second City and the Upright Citizens Brigade. Tiana believes there is a joy that goes along with the risk of stepping on stage with nothing. A joy that she's not been able to find anywhere else. Outside of improv you can find her in the award-winning webseries I Can't Even, and making acclaimed stage shows with Hit By a Blimp. You can catch her on stage at the Improv Conspiracy performing with her Harold team the Sirens as well as in the cast of Movie Night.
