Award-winning, internationally-acclaimed performer Zach Zucker returns to Melbourne for a five-day clown intensive!
Often times we enter with such strong ideas that we forget about the most important thing in the room - the audience. We either go too fast without letting them join in or we do too much and scare them off. But if you let them, they'll tell you exactly what to do. In this workshop we focus on reading the room by slowing down and unpacking every moment, listening for the laughs to tell us where to go. We’ll also play games and exercises to find your fun, identify and address bad habits, explore how you're loved, and becoming an overall more exciting, dynamic performer.
This is an extended version of my normal clown workshop, with a focus on devising for the stage. We’ll spend the week identifying what makes you funny and turning that into something that’s repeatable. We're all funny in very different ways, and each person has something that nobody else can offer. By identifying and embracing those attributes, we're able to freely explore with an audience. Each student will have the opportunity to work on solo, duo or group material, with an opportunity to perform onstage at the end of the week.
