Amalie O'Hara

Amalie O'Hara

Oh, hey there! Welcome to Amalie's bio page. Wanna know a little about her? You've come to the right place, my friend. Amalie, unlike* so many others here in Melbourne, hails from Perth, Western Australia. Throughout the summery haze of her sheltered upbringing, Amalie involved herself in as much amateur theatre as her flailing immune levels could handle. Having all her dreams come true** after studying a Certificate II in Music Theatre at WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) in 2008, Amalie spent up all her money by briefly roaming the earth. During one particular jaunt, Amalie toured a show to the UK with Midnite Youth Theatre Company/Yellowglass Theatre and performed at the prestigious Sadler’s Wells Theatre on London’s West End.

After relocating to Australia's cultural hub in March 2011, Amalie spent 18 months disappointing her parents by not performing in any capacity. This was until friends Kathleen Douglas and Izaak Lim, original members of the IC, "dragged" her to a show during the 2012 Melbourne Fringe Festival. As she sat speechless in the audience, Amalie’s fire for improv was ignited with the passionate heat of a thousand suns***. She enrolled in the classes with the Improv Conspiracy immediately thereafter and has never looked back.

Amalie plays on the Harold team Superstitious and can't quite believe her luck. She'll see YOU at Harold Night!

*isn't everyone in Melbourne from Perth?
**dream big, young lass!
