The improvisation scene in Melbourne is relatively small, but is growing at an amazing rate thanks to a number of new groups which have formed over the past few years. We'd like to see it grow even faster by providing an outlet for groups of all experience levels to come together, learn from each other, and perform in a supportive environment.
The Improv Conspiracy launched Improvised Show & Tell in 2012 to do exactly that. It is a monthly improvised variety night showcasing Melbourne's best improvisers as well as up-and-coming talent.
If you're a punter, we encourage you to show up each month for an evening of improvised magic. If you're an improviser, we encourage you to submit an act to perform in an upcoming show.
This variety night format is inspired by a number of popular nights in Los Angeles such as Crashbar Improv, Tuesday Night Thunder and Room 101.

Submitting an act
Improvised Show & Tell is a variety show, so we're interested in just about any act as long as it's improvised! No matter what your format or experience level, we'll gladly consider you for a performance slot.
Submitting your act for Improvised Show & Tell is easy! Just send us a message and include the following information:
- The performance date you're interested in
- Your group's name
- A list of the individual members of your group
- One or two sentences describing your planned performance
- How much time you need to make it happen*
- Any special requests or requirements
* We're going for variety in set lengths too. Each show will have plenty of 10-minute slots, a few 20-minute slots and at maximum ONE longer 30-40 minute "headlining" slot. We'll do our best to accommodate your preference. Register early to avoid disappointment!
We'll get back to you within a few days to confirm your inclusion in the night. Once everyone is registered, we'll publish the final schedule.
